Bangla Nattyadal’s Megh to be staged tomorrow

Bangla Nattyadal, a well-known theater troupe of Dhaka is set to stage their popular play titled Megh at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 7:00pm on June 13 (Thursday).
The play was written by legendary playwright of Bengali literature Utpal Dutt and directed by HM Shohiduzzaman, Director and Secretary General of Bangla Nattyadal. This will be the 12th show of this drama.
The play centers on Samaresh Sanyal, a famous novelist of Kolkata who recently become well from schizophrenia. He lost himself in his imagination being a sufferer of hallucination. Madhuri was the die-hard fan of Samaresh Sanyal being fascinated with the magical power of writing of the novelist. Later they got married and started new era of their life. During the illness of Samaresh, Sujata, ex-beloved of the writer enter in his life and start blackmailing claiming money. Finding no other way, Samaresh make a plan to murder Sujata in his room inviting later.
Samaresh easily confess the murder to the neighbor Pranab. Samaresh also make the plan to murder Pranab to remove the evidence of Sujata killing. Jatin Nandi, a very sharp and intelligent Police officer starts investigation at Samaresh house. Samaresh become very nervous and start answering untidily. Police officer starts suspecting him seriously. Drama goes on with this situation.
Abid Ahmed designed the set and Nasir Ahmed Durjoy designed the light and music. The cast of the play includes Abid Ahmed, H M Shohiduzzaman, Subarna Mir, AfsanaAkterJuthi, SelimBohurupi, Liton Khan, Nasir Ahmed Durjoy and Syed Golam Mortaza.
