Ragib Ali, a leading industrialist, banker, a philanthropist of Bangladesh, has been acclaimed as Danobir Ragib Ali. More than 40 books have been published till today focusing on his inspiring biography and welfare activities, not only in greater Sylhet, but also in different areas of Bangladesh. He has been awarded dozens of prizes  in the country and abroad in recognition of his immense contributory activities towards national development.
'Danobir Ragib Ali Gono Sombordhona Smarok', a recent publication authored by a renowned journalist litterateurs Abdul Hamid Manik, is a focus on the reception of the people given to Ragib Ali held at Sylhet on 28th March, 2011  for his local  and national contribution.
The contents include editorial, words of the convenor, felicitation, Ragib Ali's reply to the reception, news in the newspapers, good wishes from persons' and institutions', appendix, biographical sketch of Ragib Ali, institutions established by him, medals and prizes awarded to Ragib Ali, on way to England, magnanimous Ragib Ali, supplement published on the occasion of reception, preparation for public reception, in Sylhet city on the occasion, Ragib Ali in the eyes of talented personalities, books on Ragib Ali and the public reception in Album.
The book is a successful presentation and focuses   on the contribution of Danobir Ragib Ali and his appreciation and honour in the reception. It  throws light  on the love and respect of the people of Sylhet.
This book, it is believed, will help people outside Sylhet to know Ragib Ali more closely and appreciate his works by heart. This may also introduce Ragib Ali nationally as a 'man engaged in the services of humanity.'
