The construction work of Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) Terminal 3 is going on in full swing with the combination of three types of expert panels and four thousand workforces.
According to Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman, three types of experts are involved with the mega project.
He said, the three level experts are contractor experts from the country, consultation experts from abroad and CAAB's own experts.
Replying to a query, CAAB Chairman said, there is no uncertainty about funding. It is a preferential project of the government as funding is available without any interruption.
A Tk 21,300 crore project is flown for changing the face of the country's main airport.
The high-class new terminal will have all the latest state of the art features and will be ready by 2023, CAAB Chairman said.
He said, 10 per cent work has already been completed since the work began in 2019.
The construction workers of Mitsubishi and Fujita of Japan and Samsung of Korea are working for 24 hours.
The Chairman also said, sometimes about ten thousand workers become involved with the country's mega project in aviation sector.
He further said, the officials and technicians from two Japanese companies had left the project during Covid-19, while in last

two months they returned to the project.
"We are satisfied about the construction firms' performance and they are continuing their works systematically", he added.
Aviation experts said, the new terminal will be decorated with all kinds of modern facilities whereas older terminals are operating with less technology and also have some limitations.
CAAB said, the third terminal will be furnished with world class facilities and also latest technology.
Authority also said, the full proof security will be ensured at the new terminal.
There are twenty four ultramodern boarding bridges in the third terminal sketched by Rohani Baharin.
Besides, it will have numerous installations like separate control tower, radar, multi-storied car parking.
With the implementation of HSIA expansion project, the airport's annual passenger handling capacity will go up from the current eight million to approximately 20 million.
