Sports Reporter :
Promising all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz said, " We shall win the series against West Indies. Our team are now in a good position. I hope we shall win the upcoming series.''
The cricketers of Bangladesh have been taking part at the practice session after a long gap. So, all the cricketers are now in a good mood.
Miraz said, " We have gathered after a long gap. We are highly delighted that we have got chance to play after a long recess due to coronavirus pandemic. Shakib Bhai is also with us. Around a year we return to international cricket. So, we are very happy."
Miraz was included in the ODI squad but he did not get chance in the Test squad against Ziambabwe in the Zimbabwe series, which concluded last year in March.
He is desperate to return to the ODI squad as well as Test squad against West Indies.
He said, " I could not perform well in the last three or four international matches. But I showed a better brand of cricket against West Indies. So, I hope that I shall get chance in the ODI and Test squad against West Indies. I want to give my cent percent against the Caribbean team and earn a good result after ending the match."
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh won the last five ODI matches against West Indies. The West Indies team, which arrived in the city recently will play ODI matches and Test matches without their key players. They didn't come here due to personal reasons.
Bangladesh will play against West Indies in the three ODI matches on January 20, 22 and 25.
The first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies will start on February 3, while the second Test between the hosts and visitors will begin on February 11.
