BTJWS observes its third anni

On the occasion of the third anniversary of Bangladesh Trinamool Journalist Welfare Society, a discussion meeting and cake cutting program were organized at Ishwardi Upazila Press Club on Saturday evening. Touhid Akter Panna, President of Ishwardi Upazila Press Club and President of Ishwardi TV Journalists Association spoke as the chief guest.
President of Pabna District Branch of Bangladesh Trinamool Journalists Welfare Society Mamunur Rahman presided over the function while Fazlul Haque, General Secretary of Pabna District Branch of Bangladesh Trinamool Journalists Welfare Society, Yasin Sheikh and others spoke. Other members of the organization were also present at the time. Speaking as the chief guest, President of Ishwardi Upazila Press Club Touhid Akhter Panna said that one should join the profession honestly by preparing oneself as a good person. There is no substitute for good people in all professions, not just journalists. Many problems of the society can be solved very easily if it is possible for every journalist to fulfill his professional responsibilities.
Speaking as the special guest, Ishwardi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Nasir Uddin said it is easier to maintain law and order if journalists and police act as friends. Afterwards, the cake was cut and everyone, including the guests, was given a sweet face.

Field Day was observed in Tarash of Sirajganj district on Friday morning for the implementation of high yielding mustard and Boro cultivation with the funding of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute and the Department of Agriculture. Guests of the programme are seen visiting different mustard fields with the farmers in the western field of Dobila village of Magura Binod Union in the upazilas before the programme.
