Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Russell Domingo arrived in the city on Wednesday to watch the Bangabandhu T20 Cup Cricket. The five-team gala cricket competition is now being held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Russell Domingo is very serious to serve his duty.
Earlier, he watched the BCB President's Cup, which concluded recently.
Domingo is interested to watch the performance of the cricketers of the participating teams including the national cricketers in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup Cricket. He wants to judge the performance of the cricketers to form a standard Bangladesh team, which will play in the upcoming West Indies series.
Russell took risk as the Christmas Day, the big festival of Christian Community will be observed on December 25. It may be mentioned that the second wave of coronavirus pandemic has already started. But Domingo did not avoid his duty. So, he will watch the matches of the tournament after he will present at the field.  
A source of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed this matter to this Reporter on Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, The first two matches of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup Cricket were held on Tuesday last. Yesterday (Wednesday) was the rest day. Today two matches of the tournament will be held. Gemcon Khulna will take on Minister Group Rajshahi in the first match, which begins at 1.30pm, while Gazi Group Chattogram will meet Baximco Dhaka in the second match, which starts at 6.30pm.
