Agency : Former Barcelona star Dani Alves said Thursday that he is fulfilling a life-long dream as he seeks to expand his vast collection of silverware with Brazilian club Sao Paulo. Following an indifferent start to the season, Sao Paulo have won six consecutive matches, the most recent being a 3-0 home victory over Flamengo on Wednesday that earned the team a berth in the Copa do Brasil semifinals. "Those who think or thought that I wanted to be more than this club never understood the feeling of being able to work where you have always dreamed," Alves said in an Instagram post. "I reached the summit in my profession and only now am I feeling fulfilled. Sao Paulo have made me feel the greatest joy in the midst of so many difficulties and today I just want to enjoy my dream." Sao Paulo and Alves were the target of criticism after the Tricolor's group-stage elimination from the Copa Libertadores in October. But the six-time Brazilian Serie A champions have since struck a rich vein of form, with Alves marshalling the side from a central midfield position.
