Bangabandhu U-21 Hockey Bangladesh in tough group

Hosts Bangladesh Under-21 Hockey team have been billed in Group-A with India, Pakistan, South Korea and Chinese Taipei.
The Bangabandhu Under-21 Junior Asia Cup Hockey Championship will be held at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium from January 21 to January 30. Malaysia, Japan, China, Singapore and Uzbekistan have been placed in Group-B.
The hockey meet will be held marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) made the grouping of the hockey meet.
According to the latest world ranking, India took the fourth position, South Korea 16th, Pakistan 17th, Bangladesh 38th and Chinese Taipei 49th.
On the other hand, Malaysia took the 11th spot, Japan 15th, China 25th, Singapore 36th and Uzbekistan 55th.
Top three teams from this tournament will play in the Junior Hockey World Cup.
