10yr-old raped by security guard in Tejgaon

A ten-year-old girl was raped allegedly by the security guard of a house in Dhaka's Tejgaon industrial area.
Police arrested the alleged rapist Ripon Chakrabarty (30) on Tuesday morning, hours after the victim's father filed a case under the Women & Children Repression Prevention Act with Tejgaon Police Station against him, said M Harun Ur Rashid, sub-inspector of the police station.
The accused was later sent to jail by a Dhaka court, the police official said.
The girl lives with her parents in a rented tin-shed house behind Tejgaon Metropolitan Hospital and she is somewhat
intellectually disabled, said SI Harun.
Quoting family members, SI Harun said Ripon entered the house of the girl yesterday noon and raped her when her parents. He was the security guard of the same house.
The victim was admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) this evening for a medical check-up, added the police official.
