BAF's emergency aviation service for civilians amid pandemic

Moulvibazar District Council Chairman Md Azizur Rahman, being infected with coronavirus was flown to Dhaka from Moulvibazar through a Medical Evacuation Mission of Bangladesh Air Force, on Wednesday.
Under the purview of 'In aid to civil power', a Medical Evacuation Mission was conducted under the necessary direction of the Chief of the Bangladesh Air Force, said a release here.
He was flown by an MI-161 SH helicopter with night vision technology, and was later sent to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital, Dhaka for advanced treatment.
In continuance to provide assistance in dealing with any kind of national disaster, the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has been providing Emergency Aviation and Medical Evacuation (MEDEVEC) assistance to the civilian administration to prevent coronavirus, the release added.
