Russell greets all sports journalists

State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP, greeted all the sports journalists of print, electronic and online media on the occasion of World Sports Journalist Day 2020, according to a message received here on Thursday from Youth and Sports Ministry.
"The State Minister said the role and importance of sports journalism is immense in the modern World. The sports journalists and writers are eye of the sports arena, sound and voice of human. Sports journalism and sports are intimately involved each other one cannot be imaged with an exception of others.
Please accept my heartfelt congratulations and greeting to all sports journalists of the country on the occasion of World Sports Journalist Day. I believe that all sports journalists will continue their effort to take our country to a higher level," said Russell in a greeting message on Thursday.
"During the Covid-19 pandemic, the sports journalists have been doing their best to maintain their professionalism. Several journalists have been infected while doing their duty and many have died so far. I pray salvation of their souls and at the same time wished a speedy recovery of victims who are already infected by the virus," he continued.
The State Minister, recalling the contribution of sports journalism for the development of independent Bangladesh Sports said, the sports journalists are now roaming outside the country's border. They are working as an ambassador of the country's sports all around the World. I deeply expressed my gratitude to all the sports journalists and wished their entire successes, the State Minister concluded.
