Wari goes under lockdown for 21 days from Saturday

After marking Wari as coronavirus spreading hotspot red zone, few are as thereof will be put under 21 days lockdown from July 4.
The government is set to apply complete lockdown in Wari to curb coronavirus spreading there.
Wari will be second area in Dhaka to face total lockdown after East Razabazar.
Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh on Tuesday announced the lockdown after holding a meeting at Nagar Bhaban.
The DSCC Mayor said that except two, the entrance and exit roads of Wari would remain shut.
The areas of Wari which will come under complete lockdown are Tipu Sultan Road, Jahangir Road, Dhaka-Sylhet Highway (Joykali Mondir to Baldha Garden), Larmini street, Hare Road, Wari Road, Rankin street and Nawab street under Ward no. 41.
The lockdown will be enforced from 6:00am of next Saturday to July 25.
DSCC mayor said in the meeting there are 46 coronavirus patients in the area and they hope this will come down to zero after the end of the lockdown.
The mayor said, they will be guided by the experience of East-Rajabazar lockdown to make it successful.
"Residents will be able to get food through online vendors and we will also distribute food among poor citizens if necessary," the mayor said.
The treatment for Covid-19 patients will be ensured and Mohanagor Hospital under DSCC will be used as the isolation centre.
The mayor said, they are going for the complete lockdown in the area after receiving a letter from LGRD Ministry on Monday.
