Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said the entire mosquito control activities from grassroots to higher level will be reorganized as approaching monsoon is the vulnerable period for mosquito-borne diseases like dengue and chikungunya.
"All officials and employees should come forward to work with utmost sincerity and competence to provide best services to the citizens shunning the path of so-called eye-washing activities," he said this on Monday while speaking at a meeting at the Nagar Bhaban in the city.
The mayor said the government has taken up different plans to control mosquitoes while no excuse or negligence in implementing of those plans will be accepted by any means.
