AL distributes relief materials among poor

Singair upazila unit of Awami League distributed relief materials among 1000 destitute people of the district, who are facing financial hardship due to the spread of COVID 19 in the country.
Popular folk singer and lawmaker of Manikganj -2 constituency Momtaj Begum formally inaugurated the relief distribution on Friday on Joymontop Union Parishad premises in Manikganj.
Joymontop Union Parishad Chairman and Singair Upazila Awami League Joint Secretary Engineer Shahadat Hossain organized the relief distribution programme. Food items like rice, potato, lentil, salt and edible oil - were distributed among the affected people of Joymontop Union of Singair Upazila of the district.
After inaugurating the programme, MP, Momtaj Begum distributed the relief among the affected people of Joymontop union.
Abdus Sattar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Singair, Habibur Rahman, OC Crime and leaders and activists of Singair Upazila and Joymontop union Awami League were present at the function. Later, the activists of Awami League and its front organizations distributed the relief materials among the listed families in Joymontop Union.
Each beneficiary family received 10 kg of rice, 3 kg of potato, one kilogram of lentil, one kilogram of onion, one kilogram of salt and one kilogram of edible oil.
