Six killed in road accidents

At least six persons, including a primary school teacher, were killed and 25 others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Sunday.
In Sirajganj, three persons were killed and 20 others injured when a passenger bus fell into a roadside ditch in Talukdar Bazar area under Kamarkhand upazila of the district on Sunday noon.
One of the deceased was identified as Shapla Khatun, 27, wife of one Rashed Mia, from Shimulbari village under Saghata upazila of Gaibandha.
The other victims could not be identified instantly.
The accident occurred around 12:30 pm near the Bangabandhu multi-purpose Bridge area.
Manjil Haque, Deputy Assistant Director of Sirajganj Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the accident.
In Faridpur, at least two motorcyclists were killed when a truck rammed their motorcycles in Ghanashyampur area under sadar upazila on Sunday noon.
The deceased were identified as Idrish Pal, 49, son of one late Nur Mohammad Pal from Charanshipur village of the

district and Monaem Hossain, 41, son of one Shukkur Ali, from Durgapur village of the district. Both were locally known as cattle trader.
Md Belal Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Faridpur Kotwali Police Station, confirmed the news to the media and said that the truck rammed the motorcycle coming from opposite direction, when Idrish and Monaem were going to Shibrampur from Khalilpur by the Shibpur-Khalilpur regional road on Sunday noon, leaving Idrish dead on the spot.
Later, Monaem died on the way to Dhaka, he said.
In Natore, a head master of a local primary school was killed and another teacher injured when a truck hit him on the Natore-Bagura Highway in Dalsorok area under Singra upazila on Sunday morning.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Minhazur Rahman Mithu, 30, son of one late Habibur Rahman Mithu from Ningain village of the upazila.
Mainul Hasan, Upazila Primary Education Officer confirmed the matter to the media and said that teacher Minhazur Rahman died on the way to PTI training center in a tragic road crash. Another injured teacher was also rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for treatment.
