New campus of Sydney Int'l School now at Gulshan-2 Govt giving priority to dev of education: Kamal

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal MP said, the Government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is always giving high priority to the development of education. We are committed to build an education-based society. He reminded that peace and stability are required for progress. The law enforcing agencies are engaged in combating terrorism and illegal trafficking.
He said it as the Chief Guest in the opening ceremony of the new campus of Sydney International School, one of the best English medium schools in Dhaka city. From the beginning, its campus was located at Baridhara and now it has been shifted to Gulshan-2.
The function was attended by the Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports Abdullah Al Islam Jakob MP, Alhaj Md. Wakil Uddin, Member of Awami League and Bashirul Alam Chowdhury, President of German Awami League.
Besides, guardians and official representatives of Cambridge and British Council were present as guests.
Chairman of the School Managing Committee Mr. Mainul Mridha and Principal of the School Margarita Maria spoke on behalf of the School. They gave thanks to the honourable guests and appealed for help and cooperation from them. They also promised to uphold the standard of education of the school.
Students of the school took part in a cultural function and a dance was staged in honour of the Language Martyrs.
