5 killed in Gopalganj road crash

Staff Reporter: Five people were killed in a road accident in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj district on Friday morning. The road crash also left seven people injured.
The incident took place around 8:30am on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Pona Bus Stand area.
Md Azizur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Kashiani Police Station confirmed it to journalists.
He said, a Dhaka-bound bus of Falguni Paribahan rammed into a three-wheeler locally known as Nasimon which was coming from the opposite side. The Nasiman was carrying construction workers three of them died on the spot.
They were identified as Bodiar, 30, Mizanur, 43 and Sumon, 28, all residents of Parulia area of Kashiani.
The OC said that another passenger of the vehicle died on the way to the hospital while the fifth one died after being taken to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.
The seven injured were admitted to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex.The bus driver managed to flee while the police recovered the bus.
