Youth urged to engross in cultural activities to abstain from militancy

State Minister of Labour and Employment Begum Munnujan Sufian urged the youths to engross in sports and cultural activities for abstaining themselves from drugs, militancy and terrorism.  She said this while addressing the closing and prize giving ceremony of Sheikh Russel Gold Cup Football Tournament at Fulbari Govt. Teachers Training College in Khulna.  She said sports and cultural activities instill sense of discipline, responsibility, patriotism to children which is crucial for making them as worthy citizens.
"The sports play a vital role to perform physical activities and improve mental health. Therefore, There is no alternative to sports for building a healthy nation," she added.
Councilor of KCC Sheikh Abdur Razzaq presided over the function while KCC Panel Mayor Md. Aminul Islam Munna, Principal of Government Teacher Training College Dr. Sheikh Rezaul Karim, among others, were also present.  Later, the State Minister distributed prizes among the winners and the runners-up team of the football tournament.
