Akash DTH becomes title sponsor of BBPL

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the Akash DTH, a by-product of Beximco Group as the title sponsor of the special edition of the BPL, namely 'Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) here on Saturday.
The BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury declared the name of the title sponsor at a formal press conference at the Media Block of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Beximco Communications CEO Faisal Hyder and Bangabandhu BPL Grounds and title sponsor right holders K-Sports CEO Fahad Karim were also present on the occasion.
Akash has purchased the rights of the title sponsor for the special BPL from K-Sports.
"The special edition of the BBPL is the first program to celebrate Bangabandhu to celebrate the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. We are happy to stay with this special edition," Faisal Hyder said.
"We've launched our service, Akash through Bangabandhu Satellite-1 on May 2019. We're the first and biggest customer of the 'Bangabandhu Satellite-1' as of now. Our Aksah service is an exciting new brand. It's a new technology of TV viewing experience.
We've used first in Bangladesh. We have 120 more channels, where we have included 40 more HD channels. We're promoting Bangladeshi channels, who are broadcasting in HD. We're trying to send the valuable service to our customers," Hyder told media.
"Our expectation is that the standard of our cricket will be improved further through Bangabandhu BPL. The tournament will help us taking better preparation for the World T20," he added.
Beximco Communications CEO later said that they have arrangements of public viewing in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet, where they will project the matches of the BBPL matches.
