Staff Reporter :
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has claimed that the doctors did not dare submit report on the health condition of jailed party Chairperson Khaleda Zia as the government directly intervened.
He said it in a discussion meeting on Friday arranged by the pro-BNP student leaders of Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) and All- Party Students Unity (APSU) of the 90s at the Jatiya Press Club demanding the release of BNP Chairperson

Khaleda Zia and marking the fall of autocratic ruler HM Ershad in 1990.
Mirza Fakhrul said, "When the Prime Minister says that Khaleda Zia now feels better, then how do the doctors say otherwise.
He said, "The High Court ordered the hospital authorities to file two medical reports by December 5, which they failed."
BNP Secretary said, "Attorney General always serves government's interest. In addition, BSMMU's contempt of court issue has gone unnoticed by High Court."
"We are disappointed," he added.
Fakhrul argued that a bail to Khaleda should be granted on humanitarian grounds.
"Delay in proper treatment can result in Khaleda Zia's incurable malady, even death," he said.
