6th Band Fest on the Channel i premises

To celebrate the sixth edition of Band Fest, leading and upcoming bands of the country came together on the premises of Channel i’s office in the capital’s Tejgaon area recently. The festival began in the morning and was aired live on Channel i.
The band music carnival, introduced by legendary singer, composer and guitarist late Ayub Bachchu, featured 18 bands, including LRB, Feedback, Dalchhut, Shironamhin, Artcell, Tirondaj, Obscure, Joler Gaan, Ark, Vikings, Parthibo, Arbovirus, Dhrubotara, Mechanix, Hoichoi, Metrical, Blackmoon and Esfini.
The programme started with the performance of LRB, who entertained the audience with their popular songs. State Minister for Information, Murad Hassan, Director and Head of News of Channel i, Shykh Seraj, Executive Director of Shwapno, Sabbir Hasan Nasir, Executive Director of Yamaha, Subrata Ranjan Das, Chairman of Nandan Group, Bilal Haque, among others, were present at the inaugural ceremony of the band fest.
Shyjkh Seraj in his speech said, “Ayub Bachchu came to our office to attend a special episode of Taroka Kothon where the legendary singer shared his idea of dedicating a day to band music with Faridur Reza Sagar.  Thus, December 1 was fixed as the date for the annual Band Fest.” n
