Former national pacer Shahadat Hossain Rajib was banned from the ongoing National Cricket League (NCL) after physically assaulting his teammate Arafat Sunny Junior during their side Dhaka Division's second day's play against Khulna Division in the sixth and last round game at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
Based on match referee Akhtar Ahmad Shipar's report, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) took the prompt action by not allowing him to bowl in the third day's play today.
"I am not allowing to bowl today in the ongoing NCL match as I became suspended and I am not sure what will happen in future," Shahadat said.
