German envoy for promoting academic exchange with BD

UNB, Dhaka :
German Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Fahrenholtz has assured his support to promote academic exchange and scientific cooperation between the two countries and appreciated the great interest from Bangladeshi youths in higher education opportunities in Germany.
He made the assurance at the German Alumni Night, jointly organised by the Germany Embassy, Dhaka and DAAD Bangladesh for the second time for former Bangladeshi students and researchers who pursued higher education in Germany.
The first of this kind of event took place in 2018.
German Ambassador Peter Fahrenholtz hosted the event at the German Embassy here on Saturday night.
DAAD Bangladesh representative Rumana Kabir mentioned that the event is a very important one since it is an opportunity to meet with so many of German Alumni from Bangladesh who often hold key positions in society.
The purpose of the event was to celebrate the achievements of the successful alumni, to establish a network-platform for future ventures and to create a bond between the alumni and German institutions present in Bangladesh that goes beyond research.
This initiative was highly appreciated by all participants, said the German Embassy in Dhaka.
