Four leaders and activists of JCD were injured in an attack allegedly by some BCL activists and Muktijoddha Mancha on the DU campus near Madhu's Canteen on Sunday.

Staff Reporter :
Four Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) men were injured in an attack by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Muktijuddho Mancha on the Dhaka University campus on Sunday noon.
The incident took place in front of Modhu’s Canteen around 12pm.
The injured were identified as Mamun Khan, Shahjahan Shaon, Tarek Hasan Mamun and Nayeem. They were first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Later, they were shifted to Islami Bank Hospital, JCD sources said.
JCD men alleged that Muktijoddha Mancha president Aminul Islam Bulbul and general secretary Al Mamun carried out the attack around 12:15pm at the canteen.  They used stamp, rod and chair during the attack.
Witnesses said Muktijuddho Mancha president Aminul Islam Bulbul, also Vice- President of BCL, swooped on some JCD men while they were approaching towards Madhur Canteen.
Mansura Alam, a JCD-backed Vice-President candidate of Shamshunnahar Hall union in Ducsu polls, claimed that Muktijuddho Mancha leaders assaulted the Chhatra Dal leaders after holding a press conference at Madhur Canteen.
The BCL also assaulted two of their female members, JCD alleged. But Aminul Islam denied the allegation.
DU unit JCD acting president Al Nahian Khan Joy said, "We heard that a scuffle took place between JCD men and Muktijoddha Mancha men."
A press briefing was held by JCD around 11:15am over fake Facebook accounts in the name of JCD's central General Secretary Iqbal Hossain Shyamol.
Shyamol filed a general diary with Tejgaon Police Station in this connection.
Leaders of Muktijoddha Mancha were holding a press conference at Modhur Canteen regarding a Facebook status posted by JCD General Secretary of DU unit Iqbal Hossain Shyamol, witnesses said.
The attack took place when a few leaders of Chhatra Dal went to the spot. At one stage, activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League allegedly joined Muktijoddha Mancha members and assaulted the JCD activists, Chhatra Dal claimed.
