BNP should come back to people-oriented politics: Obaidul

The Ruling Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader said BNP should have come back to positive and people oriented politics, leaving the practices of raising allegations. It is a disease of BNP and the party has nothing to do anything without it.
Obaidul Quader was speaking with the media after placing a wreath at the grave of
Shaheed Sheikh Russel on the occasion of his 56th birthday on Friday.
"Having failed in elections and waging movement,  the BNP leaders are looking for new issues. They find politics in all issues," he said.
The AL GS said, BNP was trying to find an issue in Abrar killing. But people would not respond to its politics of finding new issues. BNP is carrying out propaganda against the government and despite being a responsible opposition party, it is propelling negative politics.
"The assassination of Sheikh Russel is one of the despicable crimes in the history of human civilization. It was unthinkable that a minor boy of eight years only could be killed in such a kindless manner at night.
Eight years old Russel could not escape the killing as he along with most of the family members, including his father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, were at deep sleep in the night of August 15, 1975.
