Monir confesses to beating Abrar 4-5 times

Moniruzzaman Monir, expelled activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) unit, in his confessional statement on Tuesday said he hit Abrar Fahad with a cricket stump four to five times.
Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansary recorded Monir's statement after Detective Branch (DB) Inspector Md Wahiduzzaman took him in the chamber of the magistrate for recording the statement, court sources said.
After recording his statement, the court sent Monir to Keraniganj Central Jail in Dhaka, the court source said.
With Monir, six accused out of total 19 Chhatra League leaders and activists of BUET unit, were arrested in connection with the murder,   gave their confessional statements before the concerned magistrates. Abrar, a second-year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, was beaten to death reportedly by Chhatra League leaders of the university's Sher-e-Bangla Hall unit on October 7.
