'Salman Shah Jonmo Utsab 2019' begins

Celebrating the 48th birth anniversary of the late iconic hero Salman Shah (Shahriar Chowdhury Emon: 19 September, 1971 - 6 September, 1996), a weeklong festival titled 'Salman Shah Jonmo Utsab 2019' (Salman Shah Birth Festival 2019) kicks off at Modhumita Cinema Hall in Motijheel of the capital yesterday. Dhooli Communications will organised the event marking the 48th birth anniversary of Salman Shah.Dhallywood.
The festival will feature seven popular films of Salman Shah namely 'Keyamat Theke Keyamat' on September 20, 'Tomake Chai' on September 21, 'Mayer Adhikar' on September 22, 'Chawa Theke Pawa' on September 23, 'Tumi Amar' on September 24, 'Antare Antare' on September 25 and 'Sattyer Mrityu Nai' on September 26. Each day the films will be screened at 10:00am, 12:00pm, 3:00pm and 6:00pm. 'Salman Shah is still popular among the film lovers across the country. I want to thank the organisers for arranging a festival dedicated to the great actor,' said Shakib Khan.Salman Shah, made his silver screen debut in 1993 through Sohanur Rahman Sohan directed film 'Keyamat Theke Keyamat'. The film was a remake of an Indian film named 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Taak'. In total, he acted in 27 films, including, 'Tumi Amar', 'Ontore Ontore', 'Sujon Sokhi', 'Prem Juddho', 'Shopner Thikana' and 'Ei Ghar Ei Shongshar', most of which were commercially successful.In most films he acted opposite Moushumi and Shabnoor, both of whom went on to become very successful in their careers.
