Huge cigarettes, 92 mobile sets seized at Airport

Customs intelligence and investigation officials on Wednesday seized 80 cartons of foreign-made Ezee brand cigarettes, 92 mobile sets and six-liter liquor from three passengers of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Air Arabia at Shah Amanat International Airport.
On a tip-off, the officials recovered the 80 cartons cigarette, 92 mobile sets and liquor worth about Taka 30 lakh from seven separate shopping bags in the two flights which came from Dubai and Sharjah last  morning, said Assistant Commissioner of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Mohammad Aminul Islam, reports civil aviation authority.
He said passengers Mohiuddin hailed from Satkhania, Mizanur Rahman, hailed from Lohagara and Mohammad Asad were detained for interrogation.
