Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka in SAFF U-18 Championship today

Bangladesh U-18 national football team take on Sri Lanka in their opening group B match of the SAFF U-18 Championship scheduled to be held today (Saturday) at APF Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The match kicks off at 3 pm.
Prior to the match against Sri Lanka, team's manager Amer Khan said, "It's time for the boys to give their test following the practice session which they had underwent for a long time."
The main motto of the coach and players are to win the match and aim to make a winning start and boys are ready for to play, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Friday.
Goalkeeper Shanto Kumar Roy said they are going to play the first match against Sri Lanka tomorrow and would try to win the match.
He said the coach has been working to strengthen the attacking zone of the team and the strikers are in good shape now and ready to give their best in the match against Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh, the runners-up of the previous edition in 2017, will play their last group match against India on Monday (September 23).
The group round matches will conclude on September 25 after which the top two sides from each group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for September 27.
The final will be held on September 29. All the matches will be held at APF Stadium in Kathmandu.
Squad: Mohiuddin, Mitul Marma, Shanto Kumar Roy, Yeasin Arafat ( captain), Uttam Chandra Roy, Sadekujjaman Fahim, Emon Khan, Kazi Rahad Mia, Rakibul Hasan, Rakibul Islam, Tanbir Hossain, M Ridoy, Fahim Morshed, Omar Farque Mithu, Emon Ali, Sagor Hossain, Dipok Roy, Jamir Uddin, Foysal Ahmed, Samrat Ahmed, Naiyem Hossain, Nihat Jaman Ucchash, Maraz Hossain and Amir Hakim Bappy.
Officials: Amed Khan (head coach), Andrew Peter Turner (head coach), Robert Andrew Mimms (goal keeping coach) Qazi Altabul Haq (assistant coach), Rashed Ahmed (assistant coach), Mohsin Kabir (physio) and Khaled Mahmud (media officer).
