3 lakh law enforcers to guard puja mandops: Asad

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Wednesday informed that some three lakh law enforcers, including Police and Ansar, will be deployed in puja mandops across the country during Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community.
Around 31,000 puja mandops will be erected in the country this year which is 100 more than last year. .
The Minister was talking to journalists at the Secretariat after a meeting on security during the Durga Puja on Wednesday.
The Home boss informed that members of police, RAB, Ansar and intelligence agencies will be vigilant at every puja mandop.
Besides, the mandops which will be under surveillance of CCTV cameras.
Replying to a query, the Home Minister said action will be taken against those involved in providing passports to Rohingyas.
