Nazrul Sangeet workshop , festival ends in Barishal

A two-day long Nazrul Geeti workshop and festival ended in Barishal on Saturday night to observe 43rd death anniversary of rebel and national poet and musician Kazi Nazrul Islam. The day-long workshop was held at  Shikkhok Bhavan Auditorium of the city Friday and ending ceremony held with discussion on life and achievements of the poet and performing songs written by him at Ashwini Kumar Hall of the city on Saturday night. The programme was organised by Bangladesh Nazrul Sangeet Sangstha (BNSS) Dhaka and supported by Nazrul Sangskritik Jote, Barishal (NSJB) to spread original compositions and propagate the thematic aspects of Nazrul songs. Eminent Nazrul Geeti singer Mahamudul Hasan, organizing secretary of BNSS inaugurated and Md. Tanvir Hasan directed the workshop participated sixty Nazrul Geeti performers and lovers of different areas and ages including Mukul Das, Basudeb Ghosh and Shuvangker Chakrabaty. The closing ceremony of the programme held at Barishal Ashwini Kumar Hall of the city on Saturday afternoon and ended at late night with discussion meeting, cultural function.  Shanti Das, President NSJB, presided over this session addressed among others by S M Ajiar Rahman, deputy commissioner Barishal, as chief guest, Khairul Anam Shakil, general secretary BNSS, Prof. Moazzem Hossain, director, secondary and higher secondary education Barishal office, as special guests, Kjal Ghosh, SM Iqbal, eminent cultural activists,  Gopal Krishna Guha Ripon, NSJB secretary.
Final Bangabandhu Football Tournament held in Baraigram

The final 'B' match of Bangabandhu Football Tournament was  held at Tirail High School field in Baraigram under Natore district on  Saturday evening, Natore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Shariaj (PPA) distributed prizes among winners. In this tournament, Bonpara Pouro Football Team became champion by 3-2 goals against Juaria Union Football Team. This football tournament held among 7 union parishad  and 2 pouro shava football teams step by step. Atlast, Bonpara Pouro Football Team became champion and  Juaria Union Football Team runners up. In the prize giving ceremony, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Anwar Parvez,Bonpara Pouro Mayor AKM Jakir Hossain, AL leader Ashraful Islam Asu, Bazlur Rahman with hundreds of people were present.
Moral edn changes student's behavior at Bhangura

Moral education activities have changed  students' behavior positively at Bhangura Upazila Primary Schools in Pabna district. The students have been very patient, supportive and become discipline themselves. They do their own work alongside in education, respect the elders and do at least two good things every day and write such in a moral diary. Now everyone dreams, they will grow up and will love the country and work for public service.  Md. Shamsul Alam, Deputy Secretary of Health Ministry was fascinated by the above-mentioned issues while monitoring moral education activities at Boalmari and Sharatnagor Government Primary School in Bhangura Upazila on Thursday.He said that "As the country is improving,So we are working to bring every child to the highest standards of morality to make a good citizenfor next generation," Habiba Khandaker Eva, Head Teacher, Sharatnagor Government Primary School said, "A few years ago Mr. Shamsul Alam  who was a UNO at Bhangura Upazila, gave us Moral education model, Moral diary of the students and technical support." As a result of this practice, children's behaviour has now changed positively.
