4 kids drown in Chandpur

Four kids drowned in two days.  Two drowned in Chandpur  Sadar on Saturday  afternoon  and two siblings  drowned on Friday afternoon in Haimchar.
 Two children drowned  in  the pond adjacent to a  temple at  Ashikathi  union  in Chandpur Sadar on Saturday afternoon. The deceased children were  identified as   Nandoni Sarker,5,  youngest daughter of  Sree Krishna Sarker and  Ohona Sarker,5,  Sanjoy Sarker of the same home  at Purbo Hossainpur village of the union. They were cousins to each other. They also read in the   nursery class in Kali Mandir beside  their home.  
The close relatives said, after a religious  function on Radha Krishna  at Kali O Loknath  Ashram  beside Juboraj  Sarkerbari in Purbo  Hossainpur  village in the afternoon, prosad was distributed among the Hindu devotees including these two children. After eating the prosad , they  then went to the pond ghat to wash the plates and their hands. But suddenly they both slipped at the ghat and fell into water and drowned. After frantic search, they were dotted floating in the pond.At once, they were rescued and rushed to Chandpur General Hospital where the on duty doctor declared them dead-said the emergency staffs.  Contacted,  medical officer  Dr  Nazmul Huque confirmed the report.
