JSD calls to free Barrister Mainul

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), led by ASM Abdur Rob, demanded immediate release of Barrister Mainul Hosein.
The party's president ASM Abdur Rob and general secretary Abdul Malek Ratan, came up with the demand in a statement on Wednesday. "He sould not be landed in jail again if the basic human rights and independent judiciary were in the country," the statement said.
It also said that charges brought against Barrister Mainul Hosein are bailable and he was on bail. He made regular appearances before the court as per the conditions of bail. However, the Court sent him to jail proving that the judiciary has not been acting independently.
