Janmashtami observed in dists

The Hindu community of Kishoreganj celebrated Janmsshatami marking the birth of Lord Krishna with due religious fervour on Friday.
Different social, cultural and religious organisations have chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the Day.
Members of the community brought out a colourfull rally in the town led by D.C Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury and Police Super Md. Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar), Hindu Kallan trust and Religious Ministry arranged a discussion held at Collectoreate Conference Hall on Friday noon with ADC (Gen) Abdullah-al-Masud in the chair.
Deputy Commissioner Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury and Police Super Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar) were attendes as chief and special guest. It was address among others by Trusti Senior adv Dolon Bhowmic, Trusti Lipu Roy, GP Adv Bijoy Shankor Roy and senior adv Ashok Sarker.
BSS from Gaibandha reports: Janmashtami, the celebration of the birthday of Lord Krishna and one of the biggest religious festivals of Hindu community, was celebrated in all the seven upazilas in the district on Friday with due religious fervor and much enthusiasm.
According to Hindu Belief, Lord Krishna came on the earth to destroy evil and establish in triumph of good.
So, the teachings of Krishna are very important to establish peace and prosperity in the trouble-torn world. His preaching in Bhagvad Geeta is still guiding light for the followers of the Hindu religion.
Marking the day, Bangladesh Puja Utjapan Parishad (BPUP) and district unit chalked out the elaborate programmes.
The programmes included prayers of Lord Krishna, Puja gathering, Kirtan, Ramayan gaan and recitation from the holy Geeta and the Jagya and distribution of prasad and feeding to the poor seeking divine blessing for the peace and progress of the country.
A discussion was organized by BPUP, district unit, held on the premises of the V-AID Road Kalibari Temple of the town here at noon with president of BPUP, district unit, Ranajit Bakshi Surjya in the chair.
BSS from Rajshahi adds: Janmastami, the birth anniversary of Lord Sri Krishna, was celebrated on Friday amid festivity and religious fervour in Rajshahi city and its adjacent areas as elsewhere in the country.
The day's programmes include worship of Lord Krishna, GeetaJagna, Kirtan, distribution of sweetmeats, discussions and peace processions.
As part of the celebration, members of the Hindu Community led by Janmastami Celebration Parishad brought out a jubilant procession from Hanumanjir Akhra Mondir in the city.
The procession paraded different streets in the city including Alupatti, Kumarpara, Shaheb Bazar, Hossainganj and Hatemkhan road and ended at the same venue this noon.
