Army man killed in Rangamati terror attack

An army man was killed in gun attack by miscreants on Sunday morning while on regular patrol duty in Payaitumukh area, four kilometers off Rangamati army camp, said an ISPR press release. According to the press release, the miscreants suddenly opened fire on the  patrol team of the armed forces in the area at about 10:00am. As a result, soldier Nasim received bullet wounds.
Later, he was air lifted to Chattogram Combined Military Hospital immediately. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Chattogram CMH.
Meanwhile, the patrol was strengthened in the area and security measures remained under the army's control, added the release.
