Husband kills wife for money

In a horrific incident, a husband allegedly killed his wife and cut the body into 15 pieces in Gazipur.
The deceased was identified as garment worker Sumi Akhter, 27, wife of Md Mamun (25).  
Police recovered parts of his wife's body from a wardrobe of the couples' house at Borobari area in Kapasia under Gazipur district following a complaint lodged by the victim's family.
The husband was arrested on Tuesday from Savar and later confessed his crime during interrogation.
In a press conference, Gazipur Police Super Shamsun Nahar said, Manum killed her wife as she refused to give him Tk 40,000.
Mamun first made his wife unconscious by mixing sleeping pills with feast on August 7.  After she became unconscious, Mamun strangled to her death. Later, he cut her body into pieces.
