Bangladesh Emerging Women's team leaves South Africa with mixed-bag result as they won the three-match one-day by 2-1 but tasted a 3-0 sweep at the hands of the hosts in T20 series.
Bangladesh tasted a 47-run loss to South Africa in the first match of one-day series before clinching the last two matches by four wickets and nine wickets showing an unwavering resolve.
But they proved their shortcomings in the T20 series. They lost the first two T20 matches by 5 runs and six wickets.
However, Bangladesh got a chance to achieve a consolation victory before the hosts won the one-over eliminator after the third and last match ended in tie at the Mandela Oval in Hammanskraal on Sunday.
In pursuit of 148 runs after South Africa amassed 147-3, Bangladesh also scored 147-5 at the end of 20th over to settle for a tie, but in the one-over eliminator, termed as Super Over, South Africa beat Bangladesh to complete whitewash.
