China to invest $2m in Mongla EPZ

Chinese company M/s. Dongguan Bluebox Industries Bangladesh Co. Ltd. will invest US$ 2 million to establish a Packaging Manufacturing industry in Mongla Export Processing Zone. Recently, BEPZA has organized an investment promotional seminar in China and Hong Kong. In the seminar, this Chinese company has been attracted to invest in EPZ of Bangladesh by knowing about the investment-friendly environment of BEPZA, says a press release.
This fully foreign owned company will produce annually 5 million pcs of Jewelry Box, Watch Box, Gift Box and Packaging Display. 1140 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunity in this factory.
An agreement to this effect signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Dongguan Bluebox Industries Bangladesh Co. Ltd. at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka today (18/07/2019). Zillur Rahman ndc, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Li Xin, Managing Director of M/s. Dongguan Bluebox Industries Bangladesh Co. Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Major General S M Salahuddin Islam, BP, SPP, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Mizanur Rahman, Member (Finance), Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations) and Md. Tanvir Hossain, General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
