4 alleged killers arrested

Four suspects were arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Tongi on the charge of murder of a schoolboy named Shuvo Ahmed.
The main accused Mridul Hasan Pappu was arrested from the town's Pagarh area on Thursday evening. He was the inhabitant of Mathbaria upazila of Pirojpur.
Afterward, getting information from Pappu, RAB raided different areas of the town and arrested the others.

(ASP) of Uttara RAB 1 confirmed the matter to the media adding that an used knife and switchgear were recovered from their possession.
It is noted that Shuvo Ahmed was a ninth-grade student at Future Map School in Tongi's BSCIC area.  Last Sunday, he left the residence around 9pm for haircut in the Salon, but never returned. Later, it was disclosed that Pappu and his accomplices hacked him to death.
After an autopsy done by the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College on Monday, he was buried in their village at Gopalpur upazila of Tangail the next afternoon.
Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tongi East Police Station told that a case has been filed by the victim's family accusing Pappu, and at least five other unnamed suspects.
