Barishal Correspondent :
Mahathir Muhammad Bin Farid, 17, a second semester student of Agriculture Training Institute of Babuganj upazila of the district, was handed over to family members on Tuesday night after  one week  of  missing .
It is alleged that he was   taken by plain clothed law enforcers on July 2 early hours.
He was under custody of the detective branch of Barguna district police, said Mahbub Alam, Officer -In Charge of Barishal Airport police station on Wednesday.
He attended his examination at ATI on Wednesday, denying giving details said Fariduddin, driver of agriculture office in Barguna and a native of Ashokathi area under Gournadi upazila of the district.
Family sources said Mahathir became missing after a team of plain clothed law enforcers on July 2nd early hours took away Mahathir from room no.206 of the ATI hostel at Rahamatpur area under Barishal  Airport police station.
Muhammad Idris, principal of ATI and father of Mahathir, lodged two general diaries with Barishal Airport police station after the incident.
However,  law enforcers denied any relation with the incident after missing of Mahathir.
But it was assumed that he was taken by plain clothed law enforcers as a suspected member of the 007 group led by Nayaon Bond killed in 'gunfight' with law enforcers in Barguna as prime suspect of Rifat killing.
After returning Mahathir to family members, the general diaries were withdrawn, said father of Mahathir.
Harunor Rashid, inspector of detective branch Barguna district police, denying taking and interrogating Mahathir under their custody, said it was not known by him. If Barishal Airport police said that, then they could explain the facts well.
