NSU celebrates ranking success

North South University (NSU) has celebrated its achievement of being the country's top ranked private university again this year. It organized daylong celebration i.e. rally, human flag formation, discussion session, cultural events and band show on Wednesday at its campus. NSU students and alumnus actively participated in the events.
Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, MP was present as the Chief Guest at the event. Chairman of Partex Group, Former MP and Chairman of Board of Trustees, NSU, MA Hashem was present as Special Guest. Among others, BOT Members, NSU faculties and senior officials were present at the event. NSU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Atiqul Islam chaired the event.  NSU became the top ranked private university in a recent joint survey conducted by Dhaka Tribune and Bangla Tribune.
Dr Hasan Mahmud, MP delivered an inspiring speech addressing the students. He said, "As a former faculty of North South University, I am happy to see North South University topped among all private universities in the country, he congratulated the authority of North South University for this big achievement.
He said that all the people of the world dream, but not everyone's dreams are fulfilled, those who make efforts with dreams only fulfill their dream. We need a generation who will not only dream of them but also for the country."
Chairman of Board of Trustees, NSU, MA Hashem said, Today, I am very delighted to see North South University in the top position among all private universities in Bangladesh. North South University has been able to achieve this success today because NSU offers international standard amenities and provides international standard education to students through international standard maintained faculty members. During this time, he said that 100 percent students of North South University are being employed in different reputed institutions of the country and abroad. They are proving their eligibility by making special contribution to the development of the country.
Vice-Chancellor of North South University, Prof Dr Atiqul Islam, said, "It is very prestigious for us to obtain the top place among the private universities of Bangladesh. North South University has set an example in the private education sector by providing students with world class higher education and research facilities. The university, as a thought leader, has continued to promote intellectual growth, equality, diversity and entrepreneurship through building the leadership skills of the country's youth and advocating for international standards in higher education."
In the discussion session of top ranking success celebration program, famous novelist and Editor of the The Daily Kaler Kantho Imdadul Haq Milan and President of The National Press Club and Acting Editor of The Daily Jugantor, Saiful Alam were present as the Guest Speaker. Members of Board of Trustees, NSU, Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Designate), higher officials, guardians and students of NSU were also present on the program. Besides, a cultural program was arranged and The Band Team "Nagarbaul James" performed during the programme.
