FAO delegation visits BARI

A high-level delegation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Tuesday visited Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI).
The members of the delegation include Alessio Colussi, FAO International Coffee Consultant, Shoko Kinoshita, FAO Food Safety, Anil Kumar Das, National Consultant (Programme),  Kazi Emdadul Huq Chowdhury, National Project Implementation Officer, Avik Bikram Tripura, Intern of FAO Bangladesh.  
BARI Directors and senior scientists welcomed the delegation at the time of their arrival in the institute.
BARI Director (Research) Dr Md Abdul Wohab gave a welcome address at DG's conference room. Chief Scientific Officer of Pomology Division of Horticulture Research Centre Dr Babul Chandra Sarker gave brief PowerPoint presentation on the activities and achievements of BARI while Alessio Colussi gave a presentation on coffee production and processing.
BARI Director (Research) Dr Md Abdul Wohab, Director (Training & Communication) Zebun Nessa, Director (Planning & Evaluation) Dr Babu Lal Nag, Chief Scientific Officer of Post-harvest Technology Division Dr. Md. Miaruddin, scientists, officers, among others, were present on the occasion.
Later, the delegation visited Toxicology Lab, FMPE Lab, Post-harvest Lab and expressed their by seeing activities, advancement and achievements of BARI.
