UAE-bound passenger arrested in Ctg Airport

Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport officials arrested a UAE-bound passenger with 60,000 dirham and US $300 on Friday.
The arrestee is Jahur Alam, 35, from Hathazari upazila in Chattogram, said airport officials.
Jahur was supposed to fly to UAE's Sharjah by an Air Arabia flight at 9:30am yesterday, said Wing Commander ABM Sarwar-e-Jaman, manager of the airport. During checking at the immigration point, the money was found in his bag, he added.
Jahur was carrying the money without declaration and so he was arrested, Sarwar-e-Jaman said. Filing of a case was under process against him on charge of money laundering.
