Youth held for killing brother

Police on Thursday arrested a youth from Halishahar area of the port city in connection with the murder of his elder brother on Wednesday.
The arrestee was identified as Md Rajo, 25, son of Siddikur Rahman, a resident of Chandgaon residential area, said Amir Hossain Sub-Inspector (SI) of Chandgaon Police Station.
Raju and his elder brother Saju Rahman, 28, were both drug addicts and peddlers, said the officer quoting family members. They were both accused in several cases filed with the police station.
On Wednesday, Raju gave money to his elder brother to bring yaba. But, Saju failed to get the pills, said Nurunnahar, wife of the victim.
That night, Raju demanded the money and Saju did not return it, she said, adding a brawl erupted and at a point Raju stabbed his brother, leaving him dead on the spot.
