Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam urged the newly appointed assistant commissioners not to compromise with unjustified activities as the government officials should have the courage to deal with all odds.
The cabinet secretary said this on Tuesday while addressing the inaugural session of two-week long 'Basic Land Management Training Course' at the Department of Land Record and Survey at city's Tejgaon here.
"You [the assistant commissioners] should provide services to the public with indomitable spirit…you must take place in the mind of common people so that you will remain in the heart of countrymen forever," said the cabinet secretary.
Chaired by Director General of the Department of Land Record and Survey M Taslimul Islam, the session was also addressed, among others, by Acting Land Secretary Maksudur Rahman Patwary and Director of Land Administration Training Centre M Abdul Hai.
Land Administration Training Centre and the Department of Land Record and Survey will impart training to 100 out of 170 assistant commissioners in the first phase.
