POEM

Great leader

  • Print

    -Mohammad Mamun Mia
Breaking the shackles of subjection
We earned our emancipation
The Bengali nation has not bowed down to the usurper
Has no question to surrender
Due to a great leader.

You were, you will be in the heart of men ever
You are unfading forever
You are the immortal leader;
Father of the nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

We want to be idealized in your ideals
We celebrate your glory always
You are proud of millions of Bangalis
Our lands are blessed to have you among us
You taught the language of the protest
How to corner the tyrant.

Being courageous at your courage born
We involved in war without weapon
We have snatched the victory
That has been engraved in history
It's known to all
You’re perpetual.

You are living in everyone's life
Who doesn’t know your fame?
You have shown the world
The value of patriotism
You have no egoism.

You are strong, you are grand
You are devoted to your deed
Your voice has got the country trembled
Proud is the whole world indeed.

You’re the helping hands to the helpless
Faith of common mass
Comfort in the mother’s chest
Bangalis trust you best;
Your head is on top of our population
Father of the nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The traitor caused bloodshed
You had to be wounded
They didn’t get the place in this Bengal
Your memories make us cry all
You are in the mind’s depth
Let’s not let it be a bit faded;
Father of the nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
