20 shops gutted in Mirsarai, Moheshkhali

Chattogram Bureau :
Thirteen shops were gutted in a fire which broke out at College Bazar Road in Mirsarai upazila on  Friday.
Jashimuddin, Assistant director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defense, said the fire originated from electric short circuit at a shop of a kitchen market around 12:15 am and spread soon.
On information, a firefighting unit went to the spot and extinguished the blaze after three hours of frantic efforts around 4:30 am.
The affected shop owners said that the extent of loss caused by the fire could go up to Tk 15 lakh.
Moheshkhali (Cox's Bazar) Correspondent adds: In  Moheshkhali municipality, seven houses were gutted  by fire from gas chaos at  South Rakhinepara yesterday.
Fire Service  Department was able to control the entire area by bringing  fire  under control.
 Alakara Maulvi Shakir Ullah, Gurabashin, Salamat Ullah, Ali Hoesan, Lavri Mong, Riduayan, Rahmat Ullah, House of Abachar Gong Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jamirul Islam said, "It will be very sad, administrative support is very helpful." Social worker, politician, educator Abdu Rahim Badsha said that after getting the news of the fire, he went  to the spot, with the help of the locals and fire brigade, the fire was brought under control.
