Iran still No. 1in FIFA ranking

Iran still hold the number 1 position in Asia despite semifinal exit in the recently concluded Asia Cup Football 2019 held in the UAE. They are closely followed by the runners- up Japan.  South Korea and Australia are 3rd and 4th position ahead of new Champions Qatar who shattered all the predictions made  ahead of the tournament. On the other hand, Bangladesh are 42nd in the 47 nations Asia ranking, while India captured 24th place.
In the world ranking, Belgium, who never won the World Cup nor the European Nations Cup, topped the list ahead of World Champions France and five times  World Champions Brazil. This is peculiar.
In this regard, we like to request the FIFA and the AFC to be more scientific in deciding the rank of the member-states.
