Govt urged to commission division Hajj Office at Pahartali

Chattogram Bureau :
Hajj Jatri Kalyan Parishad, Chattogram has demanded to the newly assigned Govt led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina  for commissioning the abandoned Pahartali Hajj  Camp as Divisional Hajj Office , Chattogram on emergency basis.
Due  to  procrastinations of Religious Affairs Minstry, the     commissioning  programmes is delaying despite   the  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina showed  keen interest for  former Pahartali Hajj camp  in 2016.
Mentionable that out of one lakh 27 thousand hajj pilgrims of the country,  one fourth of total pilgrims belong to Chattogram Division. In 1948, Pahartali Hajj camp was commissioned  over 9.35 acres of land in the city for the pilgrims of this division. This  demand of  Chattogram Divivional Hajj office and camp  was   placed before the discussion meeting  held  over the death of   Joint     Secretary General of HJKP  Momtaz Kamal Chowdhury  at Hotel Paramount International Hall on Friday last.
Secretary General of HJKP Principal Dr. Abdul Karim delivered address of welcome in it duly presided by its President Ahmadul    Islam Chowdhury .  Among others Prof.Dr AKM Saifuddin, Adv. Md. Kafiluddin chowdhury, Abu Mohammad Nurul Islam, Alhaj Md. Sharif, Shahjada Kaiser Mirza, Ahmad Hossain, Adv. Kazi Md.lAshraful Hoque, Md. Muntasir Iqbal, Md. Matin, Md. Jahedur Rahman, Md. Showkat Ali Chowdhury, Md. Sumon Ali spoke on the occasion  moderated by Dr. Saleh Ahmed Suleman, HJKP .
