9.5kg gunpowder seized in C'nawabganj

UNB, Chapainawabganj :
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized around 9.50kg of gunpowder from bordering Kukripara area in Shibganj upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
Being tipped off, a BGB patrol team from Raghunathpur border outpost conducted a drive in
 the area around 2:2pm and challenged a man who was entering Bangladesh carrying a bag, said Sajjad Sarwer, commanding officer of BGB battalion-53.
Sensing danger, the man fled into India leaving the bag behind, he said, adding that after searching the bag, the BGB members found gunpowder.
